Blessing Chekwa is the Board Chair of the Zimbabwean Nurses Network-USA. He holds a master’s degree in nursing science and is a registered nurse from Zimbabwe practicing in the United States. He has over 12 years of experience in clinical nursing, accreditation, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and patient safety. He is a certified healthcare quality professional and a graduate student mentor. He began his nursing career as a clinician and later advanced into healthcare quality, patient safety, healthcare regulatory compliance, accreditation, and administration. Blessing is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, where he has strengthened his skills in evidence-based practice, quality improvement, healthcare leadership, data-driven decision-making, project implementation, interprofessional collaboration, and patient safety improvement. He also serves as a graduate nursing student mentor, supporting the professional growth of emerging nursing leaders. He is passionate about mentoring nurses, strengthening professional development, promoting regulatory readiness, and advancing safe, evidence-based patient care.
